Saronic Gulf / Peloponnese

saronicbig2

The Saronic Gulf contains a cluster of small islands like Hydra, Spetses, Poros, Aegina, Angistri, Epidavros (on the mainland) and have been invariably colonised and conquered by many due to their privileged location in the sea between Athens and the Peloponnese. All the islands share many common features such as beautiful beaches, picturesque coastline villages, winding cobblestone streets, romantic sunsets and exciting nightlife; however, each one of them has managed to maintain its own special charm and character. Weather condition for sailing: easy to intermediate. The Saronic and Eastern coast of the Peloponnese is a very well protected cruising area with mild winds, averaging Force 3-4, usually from the North to North-East, ideal for relaxed sailing.
