Following the Wind to Beautiful Places (Sailing Charter Stops: Syros-Naxos-Astepalia-Nisyros-Kos-Levita-Schinousa-Paros-Syros) One of the most incredible aspects of sailing is that you follow the wind where it takes you at whatever speed it takes you there. However, during a sailing charter there …

About Our Sailing Charter Blog
& Abbi, Our Author!
Our sailing charter blog will include posts about a wide variety of topics! For example, our first post talks about what to pack and other tips for preparing for a charter with us! While, other posts walk (or sail) you through the typical charter experience; highlight specific islands that we visit; or, go in depth about Greek foods and restaurants, beaches, shopping spots and other activities! But at the end of the day, this is a blog and all the topics to be discussed are still unknown, even to me!
The beautiful thing about chartering a sailboat in Greece (other than chartering a sailboat in Greece) is that each day brings a new experience. Each group of clients bring something different to the boat and to the islands that we visit. Even if we visit the same island 20 times, there’s always something new to discover.
I’m Abbi, first-mate on our sailing yacht! I’m also wife to the skipper, Patrik, and the website designer and blog author. But, trust me, I wasn’t always this cool. In fact, just a couple summers ago I was working at a law office in Boston, Massachusetts, at which time, I had the privilege of going on a vacation in Greece.
Can you see where this is going?
CLEARLY my experience chartering with Vacation Yachting was more than satisfactory. There was something so freeing about the simplicity of living on the boat, traveling at such a mellow pace, and visiting a new island each day! I just couldn’t stomach going back to the office! So I completeley changed my career path, and somewhere along the way, wound up back on the boat that started it all!
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to convince you to quit your jobs and become sailors. But what I am suggesting, is that you choose Vacation Yachting for your sailing charter holiday in Greece. You will have the trip of a lifetime, and who knows, maybe you’ll be the first-mate next year (just kidding that’s my job)!
